I LOVE small town history. I love USA history. Though this history book is specific to Sapulpa, Oklahoma and the Ozrak Trail, there are many additional historical aspects to enjoy in this book. And it intrigued me to visit that town and see the actual small remnants of the Ozark Trail, and Route 66 and the museums in the town. The Author captured the thrill of growth in that town and the pride of the people who made that history. Kudos to the author for bringing history alive for us all to relive. AND you will love all the photos in this book and the feel of the book in your hands. And make sure you follow up this read with Book Two in the two book series.

I enjoyed it very much. It's interesting to see how and why small towns grew back in those days I found the iinformation on Gene autry also quite interesting. I was a big fan of him when I was a kid. I ordered the 2nd book and hope to read it soon... thank you Kirby

This book is an excellent history of NE Oklahoma detailing the experiences of the Creek Nation, the development of the Ozark Trail and eventual arrival of the Frisco Railroad.
