You Belong
The full moon casts an ivory glow
Over towering peaks clad in powdery snow
And evergreens with years to grow
Beside a stream’s engaging flow.
Uhuh!
Resting within this land of lore,
Dazzled by its reflective tour,
I can’t foresee more blessed decor
Until you join me along that shore.
Oh yeah! Oh, yeah!
For among that splendor, you belong.
Within such wonder, you belong.
The night slides past gracefully slow,
Its soothing breath so soft and low.
Content to just enjoy the show
Of moonlight dancing before my beau.
Uhuh!
I pray this time may never end,
Yet know my fate will never bend.
So I thank God I get to spend
This blessed life with you, my friend!
Oh yeah! Oh yeah!
For among such splendor, you belong.
Within such wonder, breathtaking wonder,
You belong! You belong!
Of all the beauty I have seen,
Majestic slopes and forests green,
None casts a shadow over you!
And of the joys my soul has found,
Gifts of life and glories crowned,
None can eclipse my love of you!
Oh, yeah!
And as the sun peals back the gray
And sends the moon away to play,
I thank the Lord that you still stay
To share this truly blessed day!
Oh yeah! Oh yeah!
For among such splendor, you belong.
Within such wonder, such breathtaking wonder,
You belong! You belong!
You belong! You belong!
