Thank God for Jesus!
Who can I turn to when I can’t bare my pain?
The one who bore it all before.
And who can ever free me from addiction’s cold reign?
The one who opened up the door.
The one who realized
That I had compromised
All the freedoms I’d been given
In my chase of stark ambition,
Riven till I lay broken on the floor.

Who would ever help me through my loneliness and shame?
The one whose seen it all before.
And who would ever take me without casting any blame?
The one who picked me off the floor.
The one whose sacrifice
Led me to paradise!
By love so driven
He wouldn’t listen
To temptation’s lusty glisten,
Died and yet He rose to live once more!

We’re talking Jesus! Oh, Jesus!
The one who saved me from death’s shore!
Thank God for Jesus! Yes, Jesus!
The one who reigns forevermore!

Who would dare save me from all the sins I have made?
The one whose cleansed them all before.
And who could forgive me for all the times I have strayed?
The one who never keeps a score.
The one who took the loss
And hung there on the cross
And let His passion
For love’s mission
Carry through His bold action
And teach a lesson we should all live for.

We’re talking Jesus! Oh, Jesus!
The one who saved me from death’s shore!
Thank God for Jesus! Yes, Jesus!
The one who reigns!
The one who reigns!
The one who reigns forevermore!
