Help Someone Today

What we value’s so easy to see,

The latest phone, the brightest dress, the coolest wheels, the sharpest TV.

We buy these diversions knowing they don’t last,

Expecting to replace them before the debt’s passed.

Did you ever think about what we could do

With these shallow lives, these bitter truths?

Did you ever realize you can achieve so much more

With this gift of life God has in store?

Did you help someone today?

Did you kneel down and pray?

Did you give a thought? Lend a hand?

Mend a wound? Hold a friend?

Did you help someone today?

Did you kneel down and pray?

Did you give a thought? Lend a hand?

Mend a wound? Hold a friend?

Did you help someone today?

We live our lives in comfort and yet we often do despair

Doing things without meaning, passing others without care.

Stop and look around you. Everyone you see has a need.

Everyone counts, everyone hurts, everyone cries, everyone bleeds.

Stop and look around you, and see what can be done.

See changes that can be made, see battles that can be won.

Plot the course ahead, without fear of what falls through,

For what didn’t work today may always begin anew.

Did you help someone today?

Did you kneel down and pray?

Did you shed a tear? Break a sweat?

Ease a burden? Erase a threat?

Did you help someone today?

Did you kneel down and pray?

Did you shed a tear? Break a sweat?

Ease a burden? Erase a threat?

Live each day. Never lose heart.

Each day’s a step forward. Make a new start.

Seize the opportunity and never let go,

Blazing a path that others may follow.

Help someone today.

Kneel down and pray.

Give a thought. Lend a hand.

Mend a wound. Hold a friend.

Help someone.

Help someone.

Help someone today.

Kneel down and pray.

Give a thought. Lend a hand.

Mend a wound. Hold a friend.

Help someone today.
